Return to Public Reports Legislation Details Resolution Number RDCMA-18-16 Legislation Number 0088-16 Legislation Title An Action Relating to Resources and Development; Reviewing and Approving the Scared East Bottled Water Project Economic Development Plan for Use of the Business and Industrial Development Fund Legislation Description The purpose of the resolution is to review and approve the Scared East Bottled Water Project economic development plan for use of the Business and Industrial Development Fund. Section 7 of the Tourism, Commercial and Industrial Development Operating Guidelines lists the requirements to be satisfied for the processing of any request for financing from the Business and Industrial Development Fund. One of the requirements is that "[t]he plans for the project must be reviewed and approved by the RDC (formerly the EDC), through a Resolution certified by the RDDC (formerly the EDC) Chairperson." The Scared East Bottled Water Company, LLC, has requested a Business and Industrial Development loan for a proposed water bottling plant project to be housed in the former BCDS building in Shiprock, Navajo Nation (New Mexico). This proposed resolution is to review and approve the plan for the project.
