Legislation Description
This resolution if approved will amend 2 N.N.C. 189 and will authorize Standing Committees of the Navajo Nation Council to issue letter of support for department and program grant applications of which the Standing Committee has oversight. This resolution will also authorize Standing Committees the authority to issue Standing Committees statements or positions regarding issues of which the Standing Committees has oversight. Committee statements and positions shall not be the official position of the Navajo Nation and will be reviewed by the Naabik'íyáti' Committee to accept or reject and rescind the statement or position.
