Legislation Description
The purpose of the resolution is to approve a waiver of Resources Committee resolution number RCS-51-85 which created a protection zone around Canyon De-Chelly for the purpose of preserving the area from "activities and developments deemed to be a threat ora an adverse impact until a Joint Management Plan between the Navajo Nation Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the National Park Service is developed and approved." This request for a waiver of RCS-51-85 is made on behalf of the Chinle and Nazlini Chapters to enable the completion of the Spider Rock Phase II and Phase III Waterline Extensions.
