Legislation Description
This legislation, if approved, would amend the Navajo Nation Veterans Trust Fund at 12 N.N.C. §§ 1171 et seq. by rescinding the existing Veterans Trust Fund Statute and replacing it with two new funds: The Navajo Nation Veterans Assistance Trust Fund, codified at 12 N.N.C. §§ 1171 et seq. with a three percent (3%) annual set-aside, and the Navajo Nation Veterans Housing Trust Fund, codified at 12 N.N.C. §§ [3301] et seq. with a one percent (1%) annual set-aside and a $5,000,000 annual appropriation for the Veterans Housing Program, both effective October 1, 2026.
